I love these guns and renew mine every three years. Easy to look after quick and pointable whats not too like. Remove the bead and don't snag the hide. It could be improved by making the slides in bare metal rather than painted, loosing the gaps under the rib, a self aligning bar to make reassembly a bit easier.

definitely right on the self aligning bar, its a pain to get back together sometimes.

    Nice review.

This is my what I use for virtually all my rough shooting never let me down and as you say is a good tool for the job, not tried on light loads as normally 32g no5's.

Only issue I had with it when first bought was the bead sight fell out after a few outings, dealer gave me a new one which I put a drop of Loctite on it to make sure it stayed put.

    Mick

same happened to me, managed to Loctite it before it came all the way out

Absolutely fantastic stock on that one. Did you get it picked out especially?

I too wish AA would invest in a break barrel design, it can't mean that much R&D spending. Maybe if everyone keeps banging the drum they will come round.

it was nice, not picked out special it was just the one shooting sports had on the shelf.

I wish it was that easy to removed the lead streaking from the barrels of my Miroku’s, absolute nightmare of a job that takes at least 10-15 mins each barrel. It’s only present when I shoot fibre wads.

I posted on here a few months back asking if anyone had a quick fix, various suggestion, none worked.

have you tried the bore tech shotgun blend?

I didn't mention it in the video because i find it too strong for every day use, it will get the plastic marks out of the chamber but will also strip the varnish and stain off your cleaning rod.

I was out a few weeks back with a mate on the squirrels, he was using his TX200 and I loaned his pro sport. Absolute pain in the a##e trying to put .177 pellets in whilst wearing gloves in cold temperatures. We both wished we were using break barrels that day.

Putting a .177 in any gun in cold weather while wearing gloves is going to be a challenge. but i get your point, the angle you have to load them on a under lever doesn't help.

Not much point checking accuracy at 15 yards, 50 yards should be the benchmark, the later S510's have a differenbt gauge to the one shown - they do not register correct pressure for around a minute after filling, try holding the gun at 45 degrees upwards and fire/cycle a mag, chances are that a pellet will fall backwards on indexing and jam the action.

15 yards is the limit of my garden sorry, but it will separate the good from the bad. anything too far will add more variable into the test such as wind and make it less about the gun.

not sure about the fill gauge, this is new model straight out of the factory and I didn't fill it

also not sure about the 45 degrees causing a jam, im more of a full bore shooter and pointing a gun up while you load it will get you a telling off from the RO or kicked off the range, so not something i'm in the habit of doing even with air guns.

Hello, well made but my least favourite spring air rifle, I have often said why do not AA make a springer like the HW 99 , 👍

I think an underlever with a fixed barrel is supposed to be more accurate than a brake barrel. not sure how much truth this holds but it has been my general experience.
