Just wondered how you got on.
Fine thanks Beagler. It took five shims at the rear, plus one behind the front screw. Reticule not quite central, but acceptable. Great bit of kit though. I fitted a front lens cap cover and side focus lever which also helps. Sometimes I fit a 5"HD screen which also works perfectly with it.👍

Thanks. 👍

When you get it could you do me a massive favour - zero at 30 yards then move the target 5 yards further then 5 yards closer (ie 35 and 25 yards) and let us know how high/low the poi changes?
Rockhamster, "AA are a big sponsor"- out of interest, apart from their own Channel, what review sites do AA sponsor?
Just had another look at Brocock Commander xr retailers. They all state the moderator and picatinny/ weaver rails are extra (on top of their £1,000+ rifle).
That makes it a big NO from me.
Taking the p**** big time.

It will shoot rats for me just as good as a cheaper pcp. I do like the compact design and lightweight of the Brocock Commander xr though. My Customiz3d HW 77k springer is a hefty beast with the pard 008p and 5.5" monitor attached.
-
Are they regulated? Looking at one myself. However, Brocock have a descent regulated commander xr around the same price.

Yes, I need a rock steady shooting platform for the rats (and the odd pigeon that flies inside the sheds). 👍
-
Nice to know it works. Once the saddle arrives, I can set it up and re zero the pard 008p, as it's a rock steady platform. Then I'll attach the monitor. Happy days. 🤗

Hi all,
Having just purchased the Primos Gen 3 tripod, I decided to alter it giving me the flexibility to shoot rats in the farm sheds that are not only on ground level, but higher up on the sheds parallel structural beams that run all around the at different heights. The ball head mount will allow flexibility of movement, whilst the saddle clamp will lock the rifle stock securely.
Just waiting for the N8vision saddle clamp to arrive.

1972, U.S withdrawal from Vietnam leaving the people to suffer under a N. Vietnam takeover. History repeating itself.
The taliban knew (thanks to the world media), troops were pulling out). Taliban were just abiding their time before moving back in).
Now they can reorganize for more terror attacks on the west, as we're not denying them freedom of movement anymore.

And was anybody really surprised?
We really should stop getting involved in other peoples wars, protect our own borders and our own people.
Sonetimes you have to take the fight to the enemy.

Pull the lens out to focus it, see if that helps, the newer ones have a filter on that makes them a little weak
Will do. Thanks. 👍

Two shims at the back seemed to of worked. Went shooting last night, and the NV seems grainy, just wondering if it's connected to the ev setting?

Last week I got a letter from D V L A to tell me it will be soon be the time to renew my over 70 driving licence as I got a year extension due to the pandemic which should had been due last November.
I could had filled the enclosed form they sent me and posted it , or try and do it online , as it looked straight forward on line I spent a good five minutes of my time and filled it all in , after I done it I got confirmation it was done and they will send me my new licence in about two weeks , well it came through my letter box this morning , three full days after applying , good service if you ask me , credit deserved where credit is due .
Changed my licence 6 months ago after moving house. Got it back 2 days later. DVLA 👍

2nd shim added, so will check again tommorow. Lucky my next door neighbour owns a field 2 miles down the road I can use to zero on, otherwise I would be 😡

When its in this configuration you are having problems ? This would be where you may need a shim , maybe 2.
If you are mounting the ZB in between (I know it sounds daft) but you dont have the ZB back to front do you ?
This video might help, but a ZB does have a lot of adjustment, and its difficult to understand how you could run out , unless something drastic is wrong.
Bore to sightline can be measured by just putting a tape measure at the side and getting a rough idea, in the pic above you look to be about 2.5 inches, which is fine, the ZB will add around another 1-1.5 inches , which isnt terrible.Heres a video about it which might help
The ZB mount can be mounted either way. I mounted it this way to make it easier to rotate the turrets without stretching. I'll try another shim. However, the ZB instructions state you can loosen the elevation screw (at rear) to allow more.
-
Many thanks for your help Rewulf. Just got in, so I'll read your post. 👍👍
-
Also, the ZB mounting brackets only fit onto the Eaglevision rail, and with the pard on top adds the additional height you mentioned. The ZB mounts won't fit directky to my HW 77k dovetail.

Try DashGo via Android app store.

Messed about with the ZB mount so much, I can't remember tbh. Yes, probably too much height. I also restored the pard to factory settings, as previous owner had various settings for different rifles. Thought it best to start from scratch. I'll have a go today and see how it goes. How do I measure the scope line off the bore line?

I've just phoned my mate as he bought one at the same time, position A its central position B set at a longer distance the cross hair is lower right of the screen.
Thanks, I'll also check that out. The Instructions that came with it are useless.
Just made these in case I need more.
I knew my paper punch woukd eventually get some use. Made four in total. 🤣
