A question on behalf of a new member of our rifle club They are currently shooting .22LR building up time to apply for a fac but wish to shoot long range target - the question is this - would the get .222/.223 as a first rifle on a fac for target shooting only thanks paul

This is a repeat of a post i accidentally placed in countrysports.other types - sorry but i could not work out how to transfer it to this section Some time ago i was measured for a custom stock for my shotty using a trial gun (i.e. all the bits adjust) - result a custom stock that improved my shooting no end I would like to do the same for my hunting rifle but am having difficulty finding anyone who offers this service - i'm in the midlands but happy to travel for good service any info / experience thanks paul

A supplementary question if I may – what about a fitted gun safe in the car – can it be left unattended (e.g. car park of shooting grounds)

I've seen several posts about people looking for instructors - a good one i've found as a beginner is Paul Dancer - CPSA instructor works out of Doveridge and Garlands - CPSA website has contact and his website details p.s. don't use the staff instructors at Doveridge - waste of good skin
