  4. Hello all, Here i have my beloved Bsa Scorpion T-10 (.22) she hasn't been used a lot, i had a bsa scorpion 2 years ago and then upgraded last year to the t10 but i have just left school and started working and i have no time to shoot really and need the cash to pay off my car, i dont see the point in her just lying about not gettin used.. shes oiled every week without fail I bough her at around £500 mark brand new. I have a Bsa VC silencer, sling, muzzle break thing that goes over the thread like a silencer but not ! (dont know the name) and a scope aswel (Richter optik 3-9x50AOEmm illuminated recticle with no mounts (still in box)) and the filling key, and ofcourse the magazine. Very sad to see her go had allot of great nights with it, can take pictures if requested Shes in very good nick , made sure of it. Anyways i can post or meet within reason .. iam asking for around the £450> mark (this is including the scope, sling, silencer etc )but make me an offer if you want ! Cheers Grant,
  5. yeh i had the same problem but i have drilled it into her and shes good at it now, tbh I dont think you need scent because its a distraction (if its a young dog might just ignore you and go for the scent but use scent once its doing it well) could be wrong but, i didnt use scent when starting off because my ESS was so hyper she didnt need scent Dont need a long lead aswel just plenty of encouragement left and right unless shes running a riot and too short peeps of the whistle once it gets the correct range left and right, also quarter her in an open field so theres no distractions, this is what i dont with mine. iam sure someone will explain it better than i can Hope this helps GM
  6. is a bit if you dont know the water but ido she's down there allot, and cheers mate Cheers GM

When fiz was working acuple of days ago she must of ran into a stick or something and it hit her eye, it turned bloodshot and she wouldnt open it but now she does open it but it is slightly white and dull in the middle of her pupil if that makes sence is it something to worry about? shes going for a booster soon so i think all say to the vets, is this serious iam not too sure myself ? Ta, GM

  11. Hi mate, philip and jimmy  where abouts do they shoot? in cumbernauld ? Cheers
  12. right had her on the beating line on the long lead .. working perfect and lifted about 30 birds, same on the 2nd drive and the 3rd, 4th let her off the lead because she was doing so well.. then she ran off about 50 yds in front of the line and flushed a huge bunch of birds but the keeper didnt mind but i was annoyed, then the 5th stood behind the guns and she was so focused on marking the fallen birds she didnt mind about the shots so i think acuple of days like that the same and shell be as good as gold :look: Cheers GM
  13. yeh i tryed it with lewis with the dummy launcher, still does the same.. hopefully shes fine next week when a head off to a beating line with her Cheers
  14. hello all, right i have a braw wee spaniel, shes about 12 months old and she does everything perfect except quartering she doesnt do that very good but anyways she works great only problem is whenever a gunshot is fired (6mm caps) she wont come near me, i started her on the gun myself by throwing a dummy and then letting a shot off and letting her run in but she doesnt come back with the dummy at all just runs about but without the gunshot shes perfect .. any advice? Cheers Grant
  15. yes she does stop when shes eating .. she stops and sits when i raise my hand no problem, bum right on the ground. iam goin to get her rock solid on the whistle before any of the sit to flush .. shes coming on well shes a fast learner Cheers GM
  16. Well.. after studying some spaniel DVD's and from friends and so on .. and what you have said all keep on doing what iam doin at the moment. Which is letting her hunt for a dummy (which isnt there) and then clapping once to get her attention then blowing the whistle with the hand up.. if she moves pick her up and put her back.. its just i have been doing this for a few weeks and not seeing a difference but i will try whats been suggested for a few weeks merged with what i am doing. I have a plan in my head Thanks for the replys GM
