thanks @Fellside. You're right but I think the 'lead shot only' is probably down to the 3/4 fixed choke. Sure it'd be fine with standard steel if i had it teagued...in no rush to transition to steel until necessary though!

I've been toying with the idea of picking up a used MK60 for a while and with the game season fast approaching I'm starting to seriously consider it. It would be a real chunk of change for my limited resources so want to have a proper look and get some trigger time to make sure before making the leap. There are a couple of local clay grounds with gun shops that I'm keeping an eye on but none of them have any in stock at the minute. Are there any obliging souls in the PW community that shoot at Hazel Bank, Thimbleby, Rufforth or other grounds near Harrogate that might be willing to let me do a round with them? In return I can offer lukewarm banter, a sense of superiority as you watch me struggle and of course, I'll pay for your round

Anyone know where I can pick up a plug/cover/blank to fill the hole left after removing a shotgun bead? Currently filled with blob of grease to keep the weather out but need something a bit more long term! Would image such things exist but can’t find anything suitable online. Thanks in advance

Ordered a Dyson vac and this came by mistake. Selling unused and boxed. Box has been opened (i thought it was the new vac) but all the wrapping remains in place. I think that was the intention but doesn't seem to have worked out as easy as that. NPPC worked for me as it was as/when I was free.

There is a lad who's taken it up and doing best he can but doesn't seem to be getting very far at the minute. Hopefully he cracks it but it sounds like its hard going

Does anyone know of a pigeon syndicate still operating in N Yorks? I used to shoot with NPPC until John passed away last year and have found opportunities a bit hard to come by since.

What were the carts you used on the Pheasant and Partridge out of curiosity?

This is the same for me. I too bought a slab of non toxic for the season (Gamebore #4, 32g ‘standard’ steel) and was dumbfounded by the number of pricked birds, runners and ones that just flew on after a puff of feathers. I tried the carts on pigeons and again, less than impressed. Maybe the ‘superior’ or ‘HP’ stuff is better but I’m in no rush to spend my cash to try it
