  1. Beretta Silver Pigeon S 12g - 30" barrels x 14 5/8" O/U Multi Choke Game Gun. Have owned from new since December 2007 and have put roughly 3000 Cartridges through it since then (Lead only, no steel). It is in excellent overall condition and has performed faultlessly (unlike its owner!), but does have a few surface scratches on one side of the stock - I don't think these detract from the overall quality of the gun though and would probably polish out...if you knew what you were doing! It comes with the usual Beretta chokes and hard plastic case. It is registered with Beretta (GMK) for the 3 year warranty. I am looking for £950 ono (cash Only) and will post pictures later tonight. Please, only SGC holders need get in touch if interested!
  2. Hehe - my Dad hates cats even more...he end up shooting the cat and keeping the woodies! :yp:
  3. ....as opposed to decoy them in! My parents' garden is being wrecked by woodies at the moment and as the garden is surrounded by other houses, the use of the shottie or air rifle is out of the question. Question is, what can we put in there to scare them away? Have been thinking along the lines of putting some kind of bird of prey models on the fences or such like......anyone got any advice please oh wise forum?? :yp:
  4. Hi Harv - out of interest where were you, as I've been up in Danby Wiske and near Scotch Corner and seen very little, so well done!
  5. Hi Chaps - I wonder can anyone tell me, what is the most powerful air rifle I could buy without the need for a FAC? I would like to get one to shoot Crows and Pigeons so if any one could recommend something suitable that would be grand. Cheers!

As dusk2dawn says, draw your own conclusions! For f s, any wonder this country is ###? I think the point being made is that if you struggle with being a responsible citizen in stopping an event, that was completely within your control to do so, that could have ended in a death, and assuming you do actually know right from wrong, then why would anyone give you a certificate to give you a deadly weapon? If one of my mates said he was going to chuck anything at a moving car on the public highway then that is where we would have parted company and I doubt he would still be an aquaintance. If I was a FLO and I read about this incident, I would say come back when you have learned right from wrong and when you have grown up bit; you don't sound responsible enough to have a licensed firearm of any descritption to me. May sound harsh, but that's my opinion.
  7. Not brilliant in terms of quantity as apparently the field had been shot a few times in the previous week, but enough to make my shooting look very poor! An enjoyable afternoon no the less.
  8. Aye, the proper Richmond (and the first) or the imitation one down south?
  9. pffft. sanddancers are not ALL macams ya na! No I know...not everyone can have that honour!
  10. Must be red and white if you're a Sandancer then!
  11. How Do - Rochey here....I've only recently started shooting, about 5 months ago, and have been on a few game shoots and a roosting session up in Northumberland. I am very keen to get into Pigeon Shooting and was wondering if anyone knew or knows of any contacts up here whom I might be able to get in contact with? I live in the Scotch Corner area. I love the site and am getting totally addicted! R.
  12. Hi Fellas - just started shooting (Sept) and do a fair bit of clay shooting trying to get my eye in and now I am absolutely obsessed by the whole thing...can't get enough! I went out at the weekend in Northumberland on my first pigeon shoot up a high tower in the trees as they were coming in to roost, late afternoon. Had a brilliant afternoon and got 5 birds for 22 cartridges, which until I read this, thought was ****! I too would be very interested in the names of any DVD's that anyone can recommend and would be happy to part with cash if anyone on here has any going spare! Thanks, S. :o
