  1. It was an early start this morning as we had to get set up in the dark. All was quiet as the geese were hardly making any noise as it got lighter. There were a few flying but not a lot those that ddid fly were away from us. After an hour of listening to the geese and seeing a few flying we thought we were going to blank. But it was around two hours before we got our first geese to decoy. After that we got a few coming our way and made the most of it. We packed in at 0930 with a total of 11 geese. We then moved to another field and had a few hours shooting pigeons. The set up was on a grass field trying to get some birds to decoy off a flightline. Some of the pigeons came for a look to the pattern and we had some good high bird shooting. Ending up with 22 pigeons and 1 magpie.
