Passing on a tip for the occasional visitor to London Last weekend in London for three days and using the tube we asked one of the station staff what was the cheapest ticket option for our needs. He advised using tap and pay in the same way people use their Oyster card i.e. Swipe it over the yellow Oyster card reader. It charges £2.40 a trip inner zone subject to a max of £6.50 per day. An eye opener when we had just bought 2 single tickets for Sloan Square to Temple which cost £9.80 from the ticket machine. I have checked my account on line and it was £6.50 max /day. A tip worth knowing.
