we have al "heard stories" of these terrible things causing damage/fires ...well I have experienced it first hand got knocked out of bed approx. 11.45pm by a young girl who lives round the corner from me with the greeting of YOUR CARS ON FIRE MISTER. and boy was she right there were flames just starting to lick up the bottom of the screen from under the bonnet / scuttle panel so in panic mode I grab an empty bottle and fill it and pour over flames took 2 bottles full to put it out and she heads off I come indoors and phone police . on their arrival 10 mins later we examine the damage with their lamp and find the remnants of one of those bloody things . it had landed on the screen continued to smoulder and then set the plastic scuttle alight along with the polen filter and pollen filter housing and cracked the screen . :mad: so YES I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THEM BEING BANNED ........... to top it off car had just passed its mot in morn and had just been filled up with 50ltr of diesel ready for my now cancelled trip to my sisters in kent this morning
