well having never tried crayfish I bought some crayfish tails from local supermarket yesterday . thought I,ll try them as a starter before my tea last night so into bowl wash them drain and then pinch of paprika shake of black pepper dash of vinegar and away we go ...................................enjoyed them and thought mmm I,ll have those again and wouldn't even mind looking into getting permit and have ago at trying to catch some wild ones..... fast forward to about 10;30pm had my meds and sent dog to garden for toilet put her in cage checked that I,d locked everything house and car ect and toddled off to bed watched a little bit tv and settled down for kip about 12;15am woken by my hole body being hot and VERY BLIDDY ITCHY .....................got up put light on had a look in mirror and wow whole body bright red and itchy and as I scratched /rubbed I could see white whelts appearing so off to hosp and after sitting there for a while had to rush to loo and spu like an extra in the exorcist .....................anyway long story short doctor says " severe allergic reaction to the crayfish !" . anti histamines taken and I,m sitting here still a bit itchy/tingly with a few whelts left ..... if it weren't for bad luck I,d have no bliddy luck forgot to say crayfish is about the only shell fish I haven't had .........regularly eat prawns shrimps whelks mussels etc with no problems at all
