Are you from Scotland and enjoy spending time in the countryside? Then you could help me with my dissertation by filling out this survey! The survey is completely anonymous and should only take a few minutes of your time. The aim of the study is to find out Scottish people’s attitudes towards wolves and any groups of people that may conflict with wolves if they were released into the Scottish countryside. The study is purely hypothetical and is not related to any real wolf reintroduction project but aims to investigate this relatively new area of discussion. I am myself not for or against the reintroduction of wolves to Scotland, this is just an area of interest with relatively little recent research. Thank you for any replies. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=-rKZc65vv0mnaFhQugcXP4hCSKZq3-pDkKNgciG031JUNkw3R1JXRUZZSEM2QzMzNEJOVVZOWkRZVi4u

I have started to do some semi serious walking overnight stuff 2 or 3 days at a time, wild camping or it I find a B & B or campsite at the end of the day staying there. I have done several bits of the South West coast path not a problem as all I got to do is keep the sea on my right. But I will be doing the Ridgeway, Pennine Way and some others where the paths are not marked that well. I can't be faffed with maps so I want a handheld GPS, it obviously needs maps, distance travelled and to next stopping point, speed and timings etc. but as normal it seems to be a minefield of what to buy, any help would be great. Also any light weight kit you longer need for such adventures that I might be persuaded to buy.

Last month I took the plunge and bought some Lowa Tibet Pro GTX boots on a friends recommendation. I'm after some info on the best way to keep the leather looking well and stop it cracking over time. I realise that Ive not had them long and they probably dont need anything just yet, but I figure if I look after them from day 1, they should last a lifetime. I've heard about using hand cream to keep the life in leather, and using beeswax to proof the leather from water. So, what do you use to look after your boots and most importantly, the gore-tex lining?
