wacker
Anyone tried a Winchester underleaver .410, if you have, what do you think of them?
Snotty
Everyone should have one, great fun and amazingly complicated
Vulcha
Wow! That looks well good! How much would one of they set ya back? Instead of getting a lever action rim fire rifle, i may get an lever action .410.
Snotty
Google for Winchester 9410, I bought this when they first arrived, prices may have dropped. This is the base model crimped for 2 in the mag one up the spout, there is a pukka version with a more modern chequered grip but I preferred it cowboy fashion. On the plus side you can shoot it anywhere, unlike that rimmy. And a few points on the down side. You will have to roll your own if you want a hot load in 2 1/2" which is all it eats. It is very solid in the barrel and doesn't care what you feed it, but not ball, of course. After you've opened and closed it a few hundred times admiring the action your hand will hurt. You can't rack it real quick because the cartridge lift happens at the last moment of the lever, you have to pause momentarily while she comes up. You can't top up the magazine once the little trap door shuts, you have to empty it first. The green plastic light gathering foresight looks naff but aims spot on, or probably would if you loaded ball, which of course you won't.
