Frenchieboy Posted October 3, 2009 Report Share Posted October 3, 2009 Here's the link I promised for the photo shoot I did yesterday for the Live Animal Capture Team. http://s542.photobucket.com/albums/gg426/f...uilised%20Deer/ The stag had to be selected and tranquilised so that it could be transported to another herd in order to introduce fresh blood and to eliminate the possibility of it fighting with the stag that was being left with the herd it was running with. On one of the photos you can see that dart in mid-flight. The stag took quite a while to "go down" due to the high amount of adrenaline that it was producing because the rut had started. When you watch the slide show you will see one time when I had make a hasty retreat as the stag, even though it looked like it was ready to go down had other ideas and decided that in it's highly p****d off state it had taken a dislike to me and so it decided to make a run at me, needless to say I took one picture and was back inside the motor like a scolded whippet! The last few photos showing it being introduced to it's new "harem" where it should have quite a good time for the next month or so doing what stags like doing best are not the best quality as it had started piddling down which you can see on some of the pics!
