ryantidgwell Posted October 8, 2009 Report Share Posted October 8, 2009 got a phone call from my m8 this morning who has been carp fishing on a pond for 3 days/nights and not had a single run , so set up some dead bait and had 13 pike from 5 pm last night so i went this morning took a rod thinking he was talking **** banged on a golden trout casted it about 25 yards stuck it on the alarm and with in ten mins i had a fish ! not a big un only 9 lb but was a start ! thought it was just luck but another dead bait on stuck it out in same place 5 mins later i got another at 16.4 was a nice looking fish ! stuck on a full mackeral as i only took two trout with me and landed a PB from that pond of 24.8 i have never fished for pike in that water as never heard of people doing so ! but i will be back all in all a cracking couple of hours fishing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
