Whitebridges
I had a great days shooting today in mid Norfolk, bagged just under 50 shooting in two different places. There was a good wind on which helped, blowing a good force three gusting force 4 easterly. The crops were laid in small areas so a few 'coys in cradles bouncing away and a whirlie to the side of the pattern was enough to entice a few callers. The variety of shots was tremendous, really top quality shooting. I missed a few dipping crossers that came in high from behind me with the wind on the right of the hide (i'm a right-handed shot) through in front passing the decks to my right. I know I was shooting over the top, but nailed one eventually after three goes. They came in to have a look pretty much all day, but were not "under carriage down" most of the time.A lot of birds seemed to be paired and content to **** in the hedgerows and trees. There are lots of birds about and on my way to the shoot the first of the barley is being cut so before long someone will have a big 'un. Cheers all.
