Biggy888
Hello there everybody, this is my first post. Just recently joined this site. I was wondering if somebody could shed some light on an enquiry I have. Heres the deal: I want to apply for an FAC and get myself a .17HMR for shooting rabbits and othern small critters. However my father currently has a SGC. He will not be using my rifle (if i get one). Can there be two different licences in the same house. Will I have to store my rifle in a seperate cabinet from the shotguns. It all seems a bit confusing. Can anybody help? I will really appreciate any input. Many thanks Ewen
al4x
you can have a license and the simplest way round the cabinet issue is as you say to have another one with a locking ammo top
apache
Hello and welcome. Your father cannot have access to your rifle. This means either a separate cabinet or means to prevent him using your rifle. You will need a small safe for the ammo and the rifle bolt. A friend of mine spoke to the police and all he did was fit an eye bolt into the cabinet and put a chain through that and the trigger guard and padlock it. They could then share the cabinet. As your father is a SGC holder they show sense and deem him to be no great threat. Speak to the FEO!
