Frenchieboy
It may well be illegal for a captive tarined bird to be used for deer in the UK but I think this article and video footage is related to wild eagles and (in my opinion) shows nature at its best! What could be more natural than a wild eagle hunting for live quarry?
fullbore
Stalkers in Scotland tell me they have seen similar behaviour with the eagles up there on red deer calves
Eskdale hawks
Stalkers in Scotland tell me they have seen similar behaviour with the eagles up there on red deer calves Your quite right! The BBC has footage of Goldies flying not just calves but swooping in on adults in what appears to be an attempt at making the frightened animal make a mistake and lose its footing. It is illegal to Hunt deer with eagles in this country but not in europe.
