  1. Not strictly true, it sounds as though he owned a semi automatic .22
  2. Just to point out that by entering such photographic competitions, you will have to sign away all your rights to the image(s) so any monies earned on the sale of your photos, which could be world wide and potentially worth a lot of money, would go to the people you have signed them away to. Just so you know, that is the sole aim of these "competitions"
  3. ah you mean Humberside then! You had Yorkshire once and had it took of you
  4. there goes the neighbourhood, that's thge last thing we need another johnny foreigner
  5. How can you have me a battle of wits when you are unarmed

Didn't see her for 4 months and then took her straight out dogging! you old romantic you
  8. By carrier he means airline company or ferry operator, not the car driver, there are many vets around the Calais area set up for this and who have plenty experience
  9. Na then lad Ah'll look out fer thee at Paul Lane
  10. I do not know who led you to believe that Frenchie, but in Yorkshire at least it is not the case, you say you want a 22, then of you trot to the shop and if a semi is what catches your eye, then that is what you buy, no need to stipulate, nor is there a need to put down martini henry, or any other kind of action, just the calibre
  11. I used to use CCI but accuracy was nver that hot and after a few misfires I went over to Eley, never looked back. Love em although as has been said smelly
  12. If you want a semi auto, at the moment all you can get one of those in is 22, and you don't have to mention that on your application, you will be authorised to purchase one 22, it is up to you to choose which sort you want, bolt action or semi auto. It is not possible to have a centre fire semi auto
  13. Not quite right that, YOU would go down well in England, if we heard you speaking in the boghopper brogue
  14. Why exactly is that then?
  15. Yes and Alan asked you what sort you wanted and what you wanted it for, I would assume with the intention of helping you find what you need when you told him
  16. And so is most of Europe, but I didn't ask that question of you but to Fisherman Mike who said he thought it was hypocritical that Brits abroad etc. And how is a vindaloo patriotic, nationalistic or a custom?
  17. So absolutely every single one wants to come back? Isn't generalisation wonderful, and why shouldn't the ex pats use the NHS? At least they have contributed whilst living here. I seem to remember the papers were always full of stories about people who couldn't afford an operation for son/daughter.mother/father/sister/grandmother etc delelte as necessary, would come to England to get a free one on the NHS. Funny how they could always afford the flight and accomodation As for maintaining nationality, do you find it hypocritical that the immigrants to this country maintain patriotism customs and nationality?
  18. I got a Lorex home security cctv system from costco. It has 2 colour cameras which automatically switch to black and white at night, with infra red leds for illumination, got sound too you can flip or invert the image in fact does all you want from a reversing camera, it is mains, but the power supply is in the plug which transforms to 12 volts, cut it off, and bob's your mother's live in lover, best bit 99 quid, quality piece of kit with Costco's usual no quibbles return policy
  19. I seem to recall you have relatives abroad, and anybody who needs to read a newspaper to discover what is happening (or not) is to be pitied. This country is in dore straits, the government do not respect our soldiers, they have no respect for pensioners, they have no respect for the indiginous peoples, they have taxed industry until it has relocated abroad, in fact there is too much wrong to list, and what do you propose the lay person does or even can do, other than excercise their franchise? What are you doing?

    Fuel prices

Very true, but how come the price of fuel varies so dramatically throughout Europe? England is the most expensive, and it's the same oil companies that supply Europe
  21. What is so hard about about carrying your dertificates when you carry firearms? When you see how thrilled some of the members are on here when the certificate is granted iin the first place, they's probably carry it when out gardening or somesuch, then an undetermined period of time passes and suddenly it's an embarrasment and a chore to carry. I think those who are saying they don't and won't carry them, well you may have made the wrong choice i.e. an FAC holder if you want to be a rebel
  22. It's the typical dwelling of the Lesser spotted Eatern European turkey plucker that they have when they are working in England
