DaveB916
Never heard of fitting a straight through pipe. I know on my 300 TDi it had a blanking plate fitted to stop gas recirculation, it allegedly stopped it 'smoking', mine never did so maybe it worked ? stuey
If you go to www.landyzone.co.uk there is plenty of info on there about it. I think there is someone selling the kit on ebay for about a tenner. cheers stu
JDFrain
done mine on a 300tdi defender, made a little difference to the mpg (2 mpg more) and also made a difference to the pulling power seems to pull better up hills etc. Worth doing in my opinion and also makes no difference when the MOT comes up. Birdy
I can confirm it makes a positive difference to responsiveness, up hill pulling power, acceleration and mpg. It also has no impact on emissions that are tested in the MOT. I've changed all my TD5's and 300tdi's over the years. Go for it. Get the parts from TD5Alive.co.uk. Gary knows his stuff and makes quality parts. Ade
Hewey
Hi, See the TD5 Alive Web Site below: http://www.td5alive.com/egr.php Gary did quite a bit of work on my TD5 all of which was first class, must admit I did but an EGR kit off him but never got round to fitting it, they are much better than the things you get off Ebay. Think I may still have it somewhere if you want to make me an offer. Hewey
