hi as you know i have a dog and to settle a argument with my ******* pain in the ******* girl friend who has now if not noticed put me in a ******* bad mood. is it ok to have her and the kids send the dog stupid and torment him? he is 9 weeks and is going to be a house and working dog. as normal with pups he is full of energy and wants to play and that dont bother me. but they encourage him to bark and after telling them not to play tug of war games they do and i know that is a big no no.

what rules and bowndaries should i put in place so that he is going to be some use in the field? and ideal in the house.

all the other gun dogs that have been in the family of my side have been kept outside and were awsome working dogs.

any advice please before i do sumit ******* stupid?

if you are the one to be working the dog then you are the one to spend most of the time with him.it must be you who diciplines him when doing wrong you are the one who needs to tell whats right and wrong.only you should be throwing for him to retreive.he must know that you are his boss and what you say goes. too many dogs are spoilt with kids throwing balls etc for them as they dont understand when hes had enough and hes sick of that now so its time to play up.by all means socialise around the family but in my oppinion and the way i train my dogs is its me and only me who diciplines and plays with them.
