My lab had limp tail a bit ago she was in agony with it cleared after about 3-4 days. Apparrntly its caused by a sudden shock to the body brought on by extreme cold in water. Dont hold me to it only what i read on internet

I mean the muzzle crack from a hmr but a bit quiter.

From my experience i think there very similar to a .17hmr when fired but a bit quiter.

I know its a hard decission its never a easy one no matter how many dogs you have had. But i would say its his time to be let free. The way i look at it is if it was me would i want to be kept alive. Its not doing your dog any favours. All the best and thoughts will be with you.

I have a ultra fire 501b its a good light but i dont know what sort of ranges your looking at shooting at? I get eye reflection out to 150 yard but it is faint. But i can shoot rabbits out to 50-70ish yards. And that also is fixed beam.

The main thing you must make sure is your dog stops and sits on the whistle everytime with out fault and follows hand signals and is not afraid to pick feather and bring it to hand dont worry if it doesnt sit when delivering the bird to you and most importantly remember to give plenty of praise and encouragment. But only send the dog on to some easy retrieves first let it get some confidence before sending it into any cover for downd birds. And dont worry what others think most people on a shoot are rather understanding and will more often if your struggling help or give you advice.

I shoot on keeperd land all the keeper asks of me is not to shoot there 2 days before one of there shoot days and i can shoot any thing on there as long as its not something he puts down so wigeon teal geese hare rabbit ect are fare game and he is fine and i also help him out as i he showed me were all his fox snares are his grain bins. He too is a funny one but if you approach them in the right way they are genuinly fine and if i lamp on the land he just asks for a text before i go and one when i leave and if i shoot any fox to leave them in a certain area as proof i shot them. But with you being around 1/2 mile from there drive you shouldnt really have a problem but talk to him they appreciate people trying to not step on there toes and if you co operate and get pally it could lead to being invited as a guest and free day shooting.

There available in my local cartridge supplier for £7 a box in both the 32 &36 gram. Got a few hundred in of both just waiting to try them on weekend when i go to orkney cheaper then the lead ones.

I will find out for you but a mate on the shoot i beat has joined up with someone called roger pedley and are goose guideing up there as we speak. And from what i have seen from there pics on there facebook page there doing very well. So if there there next season i will let you know asap

Be honest i wouldnt go out with out one of my dogs with me especiely if under the moon. As you have lots of cover that a winged bird can hide in and not be found as already said if on the foreshore high chance of it dropping in the wash. Plus there handy for flushing snipe. To me there a must.

I dont normally get them by me till late september to mid october depending on wind movements ect.
