chris o Posted November 18, 2009 Report Share Posted November 18, 2009 hi all got a cat aswell as my dog who is 10 weeks now and they both get on fine together but a little bit to well they play fight and the dog chases the cat aswell can i allow this? or nip it in the bud? and at what age should i start trainning him up? just so that i know as i am desprate to have a good first working dog. Dog training shouldn't really start before 6 months, but its always good to get a bit of 'play training' in during daily walks etc With the cat, as previously said, it will let the dog know when its had enough, and providing the chasing is confined to in and around your house, and you teach your dog that outside the house means working time then all should be ok.
