mosa
Hello all i have Limited experience fox shooting. I have shot a few out in the field using a red filter which seemed to stop the fox ok. I have just been tasked with removing a fox from a farm that is taking chickens from a pen. My question is I am going to be quite near to the pen to take the shot. would you suggest i use a red filter or just white light before i take the shot. ie will one spook him more. Cheers in advance for any replies Edited November 19, 2009 by mosa
Blackbart
How close is close ? If it is close enough, floodlight and shotgun. If it has taken chickens regularly get a "distressed chicken" call for your mobile and try and intercept him on route to chicken shed.I have one on my phone for just such charlies and it works a treat. It will instantly recognise the sound and in most cases comes running(sometimes too fast)The white lamp wont bother him too much unless he has been shot at or dogged a lot and it is suprising how brave they get when their dinner is taunting them.
