Bad Bob
Grateful for any advice about getting into hunting. I'm a townie with no previous experience of shooting anything that moves except for clay pigeons.
Highlander
Hi Bad Bob...perhaps that's why no one has yet replied. How bad are you If you're totally new to this I suggest you spend some money and go play with some of the professionals first. If you're a good shot book a day shooting pigeon with a guide, if you're less than a reasonable shot go have some shootin' lessons first it'll pay back with enjoyment later on. Teal
Hi badbob- it might be worth your while if you know of any local shoots speaking to the gamekeeper about helping out as a beater, its a fun day out in the countryside and should give you some contacts and people who are willing to take you out, you will also get an idea of pheasant shooting, and if you beat a certain number of times a year- you will also qualify for a free days shooting on the particular estate at the end of the year with the rest of the beaters + pickersup. Welcome to pigeonwatch.
