Ali-C
A .22 will be slightly quieter if using a universal fit moderator, but you can get caliber specific mods. I would personally go for a .177 for sub 12FPE, but if you are planning on upgrading it to FAC power then a .22 would be better.
farmboy99
hi seb i dont know what quitness is? but id go for .177 if its going to be below fac. if youve got fac then go for 22. basically with only 12ft/lb i personally think youre much better off with the smaller and lighter .177 pellet that gives you greater range. people will say about stopping power but if you hit it in the right place it doesnt matter. i always use .177 and always kill with it. good luck with the gun mate tom
christy
I have an Airwolf in .22. It will put pellet on pellet at 30 yards all day long. If you want to follow the fac route oneday then .22 is the one. I am a fan of .177 but only for paper or HFT. For hunting then the .22 is the one I would reccommend.
ttalbot09
sub 12 ftlb definatly .177. if FAC then 22. at 12ftlb 22 seems to loopy and slow.
HARRIS
hi seb i think that if you are just going to be using it sub 12 ft/lb then you should go for .22 because you get more shot per charge than you would in .177. although the difference is roughly ten full power shots. i have an AA S400 in .177 and it is fine on the rabbits
