Hi guys, I've had a Mossberg Newhaven 600AT for a few weeks now and I can't find any info on it, is there anyone on here that could give me any information on it? I'm really interested in finding out when they where manufactured, how much they sold for new, and how much it's worth now? (It's a keeper, I'm just curious ) It's in ok condition, some wear on the bluing from the foregrip, a few dents in the stock but it all works well. Could anyone help me? Cheers, Ali.

Don't give up, pistols are hard to shoot at the best of times. Bear in mind that as it is a springer you need a light, consistant hold to allow it to recoil the same way each time. Just keep practicing. Nice choice of pistol btw.

And they are inconsistant as the pressure inside the C02 capsual varies hugely with temperature, changing the power.

Fixed or break barrel? Fixed barrel: AA TX200 HW97K Break barrel: HW80 HW95 (if you're looking for something a little lighter) HW98 (same action as the 95 but has an adjustable stock and a shrouded barrel, heavyer than the 95, lighter than the 80) I would reccommend any of these, but they may not suit you, have a good look at them and try to have a few shots with them, to see wether you like them or not.

If you prefer a heavy gun, go for the 80, if you want to have the possibility of putting it upto FAC power in the future, 80 every time. If you want something a bit lighter then go for the 95. Either way, try to atleast shoulder both guns, if not put a few dozen shots through them to compare them before you buy one.

Heavy barrel my *****. It's got a shroud on it to give it the impression of a bullbarrel, but it helps do some of the silencers work, just not as well. Alot of people have has the shroud taken off and the barrel screw cut to allow a threaded moderator to be fitted, the result is a gun of the same length but far, far quieter.

Brilliant little gun, you could also have a look at the HW98 if you like a little more weight up front, same action but the bullbarrel weighs it down a bit. But both are excellent rifles and will do whatever you need them to.

Could see if you can find an Apollo? I have a Silver Star 4x40 that does the job nicely. Not the best glass in the world but good enough.

Ahh the good old FAC springer. If you do go for a buddy bottle rifle you will most likely want an air cylinder to fill it with, as pumping it will give you a coronary. If a PCP and bottle is out of your price range then a springer will do lovely. I would go for a .22 HW80 running about 20FPE (silky smooth, smoother than one running 12FPE ), although you could also consider a Theoben Eliminator (they do about 30FPE, proper man sized gun;)) or a Webley Patriot (proper scope wrecker, needs quality glass otherwise you might aswell not bother;)).

Theoben or Daystate? Air Arms do the S410 Xtra, but it is rather on the long side. Your best bet is Daystate or theoben tbh, the Theoben Rapid series are very good but imo are ugly and very expensive new, and the customer suppost can leave something to be desired. Daystate have very good customer support and the Air Ranger is about the same prices as a Rapid Mk.2 new. The Daystate Mk.4 also gives you a good alternative if you don't fancy a bottle gun. Go for a .22 for FAC though, an FAC rated .177 is a waste of time as the faster the pellet goes, the more unstable it is, and therefore the less accurate, with a .22 you get more shots per fill (more efficient, needs less air for the same muzzle energy) and you can get it to a higher muzzle energy while keeping excellent accuracy. Although, if you're feeling adventurious you could go for a .25......

You can get them from BTAS (Ben Taylor and Sons). They look the mutt's imo and they are very quiet, just a shame I can't affored one, nore do I have a rifle with a 1/2" UNF thread.

I have a Deben copy on my Air Arms S200 and it works very well, but for fullbore I would go for a Harris, while the Deben is fine on PCP's, I'm not sure how it will do with recoiling rifles tbh. One I would avoid like the plauge is the Nikko Sterling copy, I had one before the Deben in it was worse that useless, one leg wouldn't lock, so it would extend if I pointed it towards the ground, and it would collapse if I put the rifle on it when it was extended, and the pins that lock the 'pod onto the stud fell out after 2 trips.

It's basically just an XS/QB78 in a thumbhole stock.They're ok if you don't expect too much tbh. But you usually won't get hunting grade accuracy or power out of them from standard, they need a but of work doing normally. You usually get lighter loads with a .410 too, won't go as far, meaning you can use it on a permission that is too small to even think about using a 12 guage. And they are quieter.

Not if it's an fn8. It really depends what you are looking for and what your budget is. And tbh, the sound of the pellet strike on the bunny's skull will be loud enough to scare any other rabbits that are close by away, wether you use a Falcon or a HW80. If you are looking for a nice light gun, maybe something for laying up over warrens and shooting off a bipod, then go for the Falcon. If, on the other hand, you aren't too bothered about weight, and are looking for a very reliable gun for mainly walked up shooting, and you don't want to spend extra on charing gear etc, then the HW80 all the way.B) One more point, as the HW80 is a springer, it will take more skill to shoot accurately, but it is the gun I would choose.

Sorry, worded it wrong. You can spray a brightly coloured one if you are VCR exempt. However, if you are non VCR exempt, you can't perminantly alter the colour, camo tape can be used though as it isn't perminant.

You'll be looking at a springer for that price. Second hand Weihrauch HW80, no contest. Damn good gun, and even better if you want to upgrade it to FAC.
