ernyha
Lanber I don't shoot over them at this time of year unless specifically asked to by the farmer. They are now turning almost black and the pods are so delicate that if you walked through them either to set up or pick up, you will have the pods popping and spilling the beans onto the ground. A lot burst naturally of course and that is what is now attracting the pigeons but unless you have a pretty bare patch to shoot over without causing too much damage, I would be patient and wait for them to be cut and then the action will start on the stubble. lanber1088
Thanks ernyha, we have a lot of beans looking forward to when they are cut. Tried the rape stubble this year but had nothing like last year,i can rember bags of well over 100 birds but no where near that this year, hope the beans can pay off better.
