hookbones Posted January 2, 2010 Report Share Posted January 2, 2010 hi.. this is about the size piece i use to make them <12g shell for scale>.. this is an antler end tip but i have used the slim forward prong to make many nice examples of priest . i 1/3 drill n fill with molten lead giving weight and balance then hand cut n shape a brass plate for the business end... last few iv done instead of leaving it pointed iv put a brass spacer on the end and carved a deer foot out of buffalo horn fr the end u should handle the piece of antler u have n feel where the best place to harvest a priest is ,its hard to say with a lump iv not held good luck....steve Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
