Me too. A friend told me the local council gives there logs away, or they throw them. She is making enquiries to see if we can collect a load on a regualr basis.

Shame you boys not closer I have logs coming out of my ears as it one of my many jobs as tree surgeon.

Try and get ash and beech and the very rare oak beech has the best btu and ash is cracking for starting the fire if correctly seasoned.

Hiya, Give British Waterways a ring see if they have any...I worked with them here in Scotland, and any trees trashed were cut into logs, and left on the non towpath side to rot away...I collected loads of them in my boat for my mates narrowboat..

Since post this on this forum I have quick a run on logs by forum members contacting me .

I have got two jobs lined up in mid jan not 100% sure if the customer wants the trees .

But will pm you if I have spare ps just outside off swindon.
