MM
Went up to the farm for a walk today, and thought about setting a few mole traps. Not being fit for much, and the ground being like rock, i decided to leave and have a slow drive home. On the way, i pulled in at a farm i always pass, but never stop at as the entrance is a bit dodgy with a blind spot, but this time i drove straight in and hoped out. No sooner had i closed the car door, a guy about my age walked over and asked if he could help. As soon as i mentioned pests and shooting, he said "you dont do moles by chance do you?" He said that they have a guy who shoots for them, but their other farm up the road could do with some attention. Only problem is, i cant start there until the spring,as they have a lot of horses on it and are moving them back to the main one. Still, trapping some moles in return for a bit of shooting My lucky day. Its such a shame that in this area most of the farmland is now being used for the middle class horsey owners this being one of them at about 150 acres. NICK76
Oops, sorry Martin, thought the op was all done and dusted!!! My mum had a hernia op at the start of November, granted it was a bad one, but it took her a good 5-6 weeks to be fully mobile again. She said it was one of the most painful things she ever had. Realy hope you have a better time of it mate, and you recover quickly, besides, i need to get to that permission of yours to prove that i can actually shoot now!!! LOL

Not such a bad thing fella-I shoot a few paddocks around here and where there are horses there is normally plenty of eye candy- thats fact.
