rompom
I recently bought an AA s400 second hand. I filled it 2-3 times, putting 50 or so pellets through it each time. I recently came to fill it again but found I could not unscrew the cap over the filler valve. I tried various things including, most recently, a few drops of gun oil left to penetrate overnight and an adjustable wrench. Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice? One concern is that the valve may have gone, leaving the air compressed inside the filler cap and causing it to jam, but this sounds unlikely as I doubt the cap is fully airtight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
tweedledee
it should nt be that tight mate.as for being concerned about it holding air pressure just blank fire till the gun empties itself.i think there is a fine hole on the end of the cap
burntout
Sounds like it's corroded on perhaps? Whatever you do, dont heat the thing to get it off! If you cant do it using WD40 and some grips then take it to a smithy and get them on the job. Try a little copperslip on the thread next time.
