Hi, Yesterday I bought a Winchester Select Sporting II Top Cote 12M Signature the gun shop only had one left with 30" inch barrels so I bought that one. I will be mainly using it for clay shooting, sporting, skeet, DTL and compact. I will also be using out in the field occasionally until I get myself a dedicated field gun. I know this is mainly down to personal preference but personal preference aside would you think the 30" barrels would suit better as an all purpose gun apart from getting seperate field, trapguns etc etc.

If it fits well enough the barrel length will be fine as an all rounder. I would of bought a 30inch myself. :good:

I wouldn`t even go and buy a field gun because the sporter will shoot anything a game gun will, it`s just about 2lb heavier which will help with dampening the recoil. It also has back boring aswell which will help with consistant patterns and cut down more recoil.

You tend to find that people that have lots of unfitted guns never get to shoot consistently because they are all different.

All the top shots will only use the one gun for everything because they know exactly where it puts its lead shot. They may have a few guns at home but use them as toys to play with, they get them out from time to time but not for anything serious.
