poorpeet
As above. Thinking of getting some neoprene wellies. These seem good value but are they cheap for a reason?
poorpeet
Is the make 'Muck boot' or 'Bison'? I can't see a Bison model on the Muck Boot site. I don't mind getting a bargain but I don't want to end up with a 'cheap rip off copy' of a proper Muck boot. Anyone know or tried Bison? Birdboy
Hi Bought some muck boughts 4-5 months ago. Firstly got to say very warm boots. Used them all this season and excellent alround. very grippy too if you buy the field boots not yard boots. The only disappointment is i have a few holes forming in the softer material on the top half of the boot. Lots of my mates have exactly the same, however, they are still waterproof. Worth the money. mez75
Googled "Bison Wellingtons" & they do appear to be a cheaper copy of muck boots.
nipper
I have had two pairs of Muck boots now . The only thing that I am not happy with is the heel lining inside the boot . It seems to wear very easily ? and you end up with none at all . I have tried emailing the company (a few times ) but have never had any response First pair were £65 and the second was £81 !!!!!!! NOT a cheap boot any more ! (The Tay boot ).

malkiserow
I love my muck boots for warmth and comfort but they did have the sole come off! I glued it back on and has been fine for the past 2 years
poorpeet
Well, I decided to get a pair of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BISON-NEOPRENE-WELLI...=item895ec5497e They arrived today, having ordered them on Sunday after freezing half to death while shooting. any way, for those that are interested they seem well made although the sole seems a bit soft and I think it will wear quite quickly. Time will tell. Pete Edited February 2, 2010 by poorpeet
