notsosureshot
Works van, its a Vauxhall. Took it for a routine service. Garage replaced discs and pads all around, new tyres and the glow plugs are stuck and at risk of snapping off if extracted requiring an engine strip down. £520 bill which was supposed to be going towards a rifle in due course. Damn things so slow, I cant even DRIVE faster than a speeding bullet. Bleh, just wanted to moan. Sorry.
Conygree
Bit odd about the glow plugs? if it started in the cold they must be ok- if stuck, run the engine untill hot and try again etc
notsosureshot
It starts even from cold, eventually. I think its just one of the plugs but they didnt want to force them out for fear of breaking them off. Strange one but I trust the mechanic, he was a long time colleague of my dad so I dont think there would be any funny business going on. I'm going back tomorrow on an unreleated matter, I'll mention what you suggested and see what he says. Thanks.
danddo
When you get your rifle put your first round through the works van
guss109
See if they can put a hella coil in then i think its just the head they have to take of. My old L200 had the same problem and the mechanic cost me a new engine
