Al Downie
Although I didn't have much luck with the pigeons on Saturday, after I'd moved my hide and decoys and was putting the Landy round the corner, I was walking back when a woman came jogging along the path. It's private property and she wasn't supposed to be there at all, but my approach is always to have a friendly chat and answer any questions folk have. So we stood and blethered for a while, and then all of a sudden she said with great excitement - "Look at those birds!! What are they doing??!! Are you feeding them??". I looked around quickly, thinking I was missing my best opportunity of the day, and realised she was talking about the rotary (about 30yds away) and decoys on the ground behind it! She was a bit embarrassed when I took her over to show how the rotary worked. But I'm quite impressed by the flappy motion of the Sillosocks birds - 'hypa-flaps' I think they're called. They 'coyed a woman! Not bad, I thought. Sorry - not much of a review - if the pigeons are biting tomorrow I'll post more info after that for anyone who's interested.
