wyatt
Morning all, I'm about to apply for my SGC but have a (simple) question. I'm thinking that I've not got space for a full size cabinet and will have to go for one which takes broken down guns, however, how is a gun broken down? I'm assuming that the joint where a gun splits can be disassembled? Cheers!

Store the barrels and stock seperate in the cabinet side by side. The breakdown cabinets are about half the height of a normal one, 2 guns at a squeeze, no more to be honest. HDAV
What i did which seems sensible is apply and when FEO visits check with them the location etc before buying cabinet you can then be sure they are happy with everything TBH the 2 gun break down ones arent that much smaller they are shorter tho 2 gun 823mm x 301mm x 221mm DJS break down 2 gun 839mm x 268mm x 244mm Bratton sound break down 4 gun 1308mm x 268mm x 244mm Bratton sound 4 gun 1475mm x 256mm x 271mm DJS As you see while same quoted capacity they are different sizes between makes I have a 5 gun and i doubt i would ever get 5 in it! 3 comfortably 4 with a squeeze to fit they would all have to be .410 singles i think! Also some guns dont break down so easily Semi autos and pump come to mind Edited February 16, 2010 by HDAV
