winchester6500
Hi In the process of buying a .243 for foxes (with moderater) and i was wondering what difference the length of the barrel makes? Cheers Paul
jamie g
it depends if you walk about or shoot from a high seat. if in a high seat you mite want it nice and compact. dont have it to short tho as your lose a good amount of mv. and you dont want to go to low as it will be border line for deer then ! 20 inch barrel should be ok. but i would stick to a 24 inch barrel. if it is just for foxing why have you gone for a 243 when one of the 22 centrefires will do the same job but with much less powder Edited February 22, 2010 by jamie g
Oly
Wouldn't advise really going below 22" on 243 Win
