flightline shooting

On my permission there is a good flightline over witer cereals which is about three hundred yards parallel with a rape field but there is more fields all around

with rape and other crops,when i set up on the rape i get the bums rush(stupid pigeons i dont think so) so how would i fare if i was to set-up directly beneath the flight line in a hide,should i just shoot them crossing to and fro overhead or should i put some deeks out ,would they just fly sraight over me looking for better food or do you think they would come into the deeks :blink:

i would wait from a strong wind blowing up their Bums or into their faces so they dart and dive low across the field and shoot them just on the flightline. This can provide good but tricky shooting

Dont you usually find the best days for shooting you have to go to work then when you do get time off the weathers ****

I will spend many an hour sitting in a hedge row under a flight line and shoot the birds as they pass over me . If you can put some decoys out on the field in front of you that they are flying over ,so much the better .

For flightligning you need a good wind to blow. That keeps the birds Low then you can have some good sport. Soreshoulders got it correct.
