  1. Hi I am looking for some advice on getting a good Lamp to use from the vehicle. I have an egleye 100W and it states 600 (Questionable) Mtrs but it does not give me the range I need before the rabbits get spooked, i need a more focused beam to use. any help would be great.
  2. I will check them out at the next game fair Cheers
  3. Whats best, I have been watching the birds on OCR and at the current time the birds look in really good condition and well into the breeding cycle. When watching them feed and flight they are bright especially the white neck and wing bars. I went out on some drilled pea's today with my mate and we put out the FUDs under a flight line on a field we new they were using. However the pea's were not up yet (Possible eating the chickweed). Birds were just not interested. After putting out the FUDs they just looked Dull, dull, dull, with no brightness to them. We had 1 woody and a Black after 2 hours. So we up'd and moved to another field, again Pea's and again not up yet (Looks like everywhere is about 3 to 4 weeks behind). This time I put out the Silosox and this certainly made them more interested in the pattern. I think this is because the pattern I put out was brighter and more in line with what the birds would expect this time of the year. We only had 12 for the morning but I take the learning from how the birds reacted. Has anyone else had a similar experience. The last lesson learn, wait till the pea's are up and the birds are commiting to the field for the better day.
  4. As we approach the weekend the weather is looking pants. I have recce'd some pea fields and there on it in numbers. I want to get out there on the Friday but the weather is set for rain. The pea's are just coming through . should I go in the rain or not. Has any one been in the rain and had a good day.
  5. 15P for fresh in Bedfordshire not sure about the frozen aspect, but I will chase this up as it cost a few bob in the discovery to drop off 50 at a time fresh ( If im lucky)
  6. A classic response "excellent" I would have laughed my socks off on that one
  7. A good day Mines this weekend the farmer rang yesterday and said it should be ok for the weekend. this will be the first time over pease so I am looking forward to it. well done
  8. Tomorrow morning bright and early. I know they have been drilled on Wed so I am taking a chance. My mate had over 200 on laid maize near there and he will be close by in the morning so it should keep em moving. Here's hopping
  9. Yep checked my farm out and the ground temperature needs to be at 6 degrees. Ive been tempted to get out there with the Mrs's hair drier to get it warmed up. Patients patients patients
  10. Yep I just had 4 pigeon breast sliced open to make em thin, flash fried in a griddle with a bit of Balsamic vinegar. Mm-mm Just the ticket and I'm pretty stuffed now, so its no famine. Make the most of it
  11. I think you will find thats on Telephone Cables and yep get caught and you will be billed Elec cables. High voltage Elec cables are just cable no sheaving. You should be OK under these for short periods and if thats the flight line go for it, I would ( But it wasn't me under the pylon .
  12. Never mind makes you feel better when you get the good days. Perseverance
  13. I found the flocks are breaking up in the Bedford area but there still on the cover crops I was on the OSR with cover strip and bagged 30+. However I was not under a flight line and had to move. I think as it was so wet it was slow to start then manic for about 2 hours, then quite again.
  14. Good day and well written well done
  15. For flightligning you need a good wind to blow. That keeps the birds Low then you can have some good sport. Soreshoulders got it correct.
