northy
Hi, Can you guys tell my if rabbits like or dis-like the rain? As i want to know if its worth going out shooting in the rain. Thanks Northy
Axe
I have noticed changes in the Rabbits when its raining. They still come out but maybe not in so many numbers, but what rabbits do come out, seem less aware. They seem to sit still for longer periods and are less able to hear you approach. If you think about it, the rain must blanket the sound of your step and also your smell. It may even effect there visual sense as well, but this is hypothetical. The only other thing to consider, is getting wet! good luck Axe.
SNAKEBITE
If you could set up a hide or some such contraption at a known "hot spot" it might be of some benefit. ........ or get a realtree umbrella! The rabbits do come out in force after a heavy down pour I'm told. They like to lick/drink the water of the grass.
henry c
I noticed an interesting behaviour in bunnies when raining, they were all sitting at the bases of trees keeping dry, i saw five all sitting at the trunks of seperate trees. SNAKEBITE
Tonight maybe a good time to test any theories! Is it true the rabbits in Scotland are taking swimming lessons at the moment??
