YorkshirePurdey
I have just stripped a 410 down, the wood looks like beach. It is very blonde. I know its down to personal preferance, but wouldyou leave it that way or stain it darker? I am going to give it an oil finish afterwards

Popgun
I would stain it darker if it was mine.
COACH
I often go for rose wood stainer, it gives it that lovely deep red colour you see on very expensive guns. When you oil it up it looks awesome if done properly.
YorkshirePurdey
It was a 1970's bright orange colour to start, now its just blonde. I intend to oil it whih will darken it a bit, but I have some wallnut coloured stain and some oak stain, both waterbased, that I might use. Just dont want it to go pear shaped!
