Cookiemonsterandmerlin.
After crashing a hedge cutting job in under 4 hours I decided to give a rape field that has attracted alot birds late afternoon. I guess on the way home to roost I setup at 1330 hrs not birds in sight but the corner well grazed. 1430 nowt 1530 hundred on birds coming in 1 1/2 hrs hot shooting finished with 51 . The birds have changed too there late feeding pattern only two days later than last year according to my diary. Roll on spring yipee. Thanks OTH
Sprinter
No afternoon feeding yet where i was sitting, all dried up and nowt in the air by 3pm. Ergo they were all sitting in the roost wood or had ******** off somewhere quieter. Good going though 51 in 90mins, warm barrels?
bens
Well worth waiting for! In Wiltshire too and birds still hanging around in big flocks. Quality bit of shooting late afternoon - well done. Chasing out tails at the moment trying to track the birds down - too much rape to choose from round our way. Any ideas on when they might start splitting up?
