RC45
.22lr is ok for rabbits. Phil
Toombsy
I agree with RC45 - .22LR fits the bill that you state. It's fairly easy to get a Firearms licence providing you have somewhere where you have permission to use the rifle, and the owner of the land is prepared to sign a statement to that affect. If you've got a shotgun licence, you shouldn't have any problem getting your FAC.
ads03ads
The .22lr does sound like the kiddie for you, but why not apply for the .17 hmr as well, it is a bit louder but will give you a little more range as well as being more likely to get fox as a condition (local force depending!!!). I would ask for the pair on your application as if you decide at a later date that you would like the hmr it'll cost you for the variation, the worst that can happen is they'll say no Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll have no problems, Ads
silverhawk
A nice little 22lr semi auto with sound moderator does great work with rabbits i shot 2 and the other 3 was just still sitting there dont forget to ask for a sound moderator too as these are classed as a firearm.
