coptleigh
Has anyone had experience of fitting an alarm to a Jimny, more importantly, one that enables the use of remote central locking facility, does it need an additional actuator fitting into the drivers door or is it just a matter of linking into the existing wiring. Cheers Alan

coptleigh
Very easy to check, use the key on the passenger side, if the drivers door locks and unlocks then no actuator is required..... It does not lock all doors from the passengers door lock, had a look inside drivers door, looks like some sort of actuator in there??? white plastic device, any ideas?? alan UPDATE Found out its single point central locking and will need an actuator in the drivers door, so you are both right, thanks for that, managed to get a list of wiring diagrams etc as used by alarm fitters, that cover most cars, so if anyone needs a copy, drop me a pm and I'll email to you, so back to Fleabay to order an actuator.
