Robby22
Hi, I have a springer (molly) who is 5months old, Im only doin the basics-getting the foundations right at the minute. 1) when is the best time to start whistle training as ive heard if you start too early it may damage thyre ears?? 2) one thing I have noticed is that when out walking is that she tends to want to do her own thing i.e when I call her back she will either keep her head down and ignore me, or come back but 4 or 5 yards either side and carry on sniffing about about. I only ever call her back in an upbeat kind of way-to keep it fun for her, but obviously I want & need to be her Focul point 3) Ive have a book entitled The complete guide to training gundogs by James Douglas. Is this a good book to follow or Is there a better one?? As said its very early days yet so I just want to make sure I get it right......starting with the basics. Many Thanks Robby22
