pigglet
I was out yesterday and due to other commitments didn't get untill after lunch. I reasoned that as I'd probably not be around for the lunch time feeding session so set up for 3pm. nothing much flew over so I packed up at about 6.50 and walked back to the car. Just as I climbed in to set off about 20 birds flew into the field in 1's and 2's If you are out in the afternoon what time do you generally hang around till? Is there a specific time when the birds are most likely to feed?
anser2
Its the start of a change in pigeon feeding times in my area. Usually in winter the best shooting comes between sunrise and 11.00 am. Pack up at lunch time as you will be lucky to get more than the odd shot. But once mid March is here they start to feed up to about 3 ish. Later in the summer when they are on the stubbles 4.00 pm to sunset is the best time.
