abiteachuck
Dont knock this as a "home made curry" as you will see its mostly from the jar but after making them for years if you can make a better one get it on here. I`ve tried making 100s of them but they all taste like home made and there`s some thing missing, well here goes 1st job nip down to the asda. 1 jar of asdas own extra speical madras 1""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" balti 2 onions 1 of those plastic cartons of baby plum toms 2 large chicken breasts chilli powder packet of chat masala "from any good p***i shop plus ghee large frying pan. Cut the chicken up into pieces, add 1 heaped tea spoon of chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon of the chat masala and mix. fry in the ghee for 5-7 mins, remove. cut up the onions very small take your time its worth it, fry these in ghee dont bother cleaning the pan for 10 mins keep stirring. add the chicken and both jars, fill 1 jar with boiling water, clean other jar you will find the madras is very thick add the water and bring to the boil, simmer for 20mins. add the toms and cook for 5-7 mins now its ready. as you will see you need a large pan just freeze what evers left. serve with pilau rice & chapps keep me posted
