roost shooting evening or?

I am going to shoot some woods 2moro for crows and pigeons would i be better going in the morning or in the evening.?

Late afternoon into evening, find yourself a good sitty tree (look for pigeon **** under the tree) and stand under the tree and wait and watch to see where pigeons are going also if it is windy go to the opposite end of the wood form where the wind is blowing.

As above,find a clear spot to shoot from,no good if you cant get a good shot off for the branches,stand still

thats what i did lastnight , i also and the magnet and 5 silloscoks out in the field at the edge of the wood

Late dont get there till 1700hrs as it still light till 1915hrs find a large ash tree if there is any on the edge.

left it to the evening to go roost shooting there were a lot of pigeons about shot 2. should of shot more but just couldnt get close enough 2 them. any advice do you think lofting decoys are a good.?

Lofters are always worth a try, but do not always work? watch the wind and see where most of the pigeons go and try there. all the best
