Fox with shotgun tonight.

I was out on a farm I shoot from time to time after crows as they had been getting lambs injured. Had set up the bouncer but there was not a breath of breeze so tough going. I shot a fast crossing crow so thought that was it. About 8 30 pm so half an hour of daylight left. I decided to pick up the dead crow to use as a decoy but it had fallen into a field behind a 5 foot wall. Looked over to see a good sized fox stood in a gateway. I pulled back behind the wall and snapped the safety off my pump action which had 3 x 32g in 6 shot loaded. Looked back over the wall and was surprised he was still there, about 25 yards away. Usually I would prefer BB but this was a sheep farm with lambing in full swing. Saw him flinch with the first load and he ran right to left and could see him getting whacked with each of the 3 cartridges.Went down never to get up about 20 yards from the gateway. Made up for the **** crow shooting this evening and an eye opener for my nephew who had tagged along. Have a pic on me mobile . The farmer had seen a fox around and wanted it gone. He had a good set of gnashers and apart from a bit of mange on the back was in good nick. This is the best shooting I have done with my pump action and that 3rd shot was very reassuring to have. Lovely pint on the way home too.
