brno223
**SOLD** The rifle is a Ruger No. 1-A Light Sporter in .270 Winchester. The serial number is 132-6**** and, according to the Ruger website, it was made in 1985. I bought it second-hand in August 1993. I have put about 600 rounds through it. Assuming that the previous owner shot the same number of rounds per year as I have done, the rifle has probably fired 1000-ish rounds. The rifle is sold as shown in the photos i.e. with rings but no scope. It comes with a set of Redding reloading dies and around 70 cases, some primed. I'm selling the gun at £295 for a quick sale as I've hardly used it in the past few years, and I need to make some room in the gun safe. As a comparison, 2nd-hand No. 1s on the guntrader website are going for between £350 & £600. Face-2-face transaction please. But I am prepared to travel up to 30 miles to complete the deal. brno223
As requested, I've added some more detailed pics of the fore-end. You'll see that I've re-attached the stud at the front of the fore-end. I use it when I fit a bipod. Forgot to mention in the original post that the fore-end has been free-floated. Paddy Galore!
they are such a pretty gun, i'm looking at one in 25-06 in similar condition, it's up for £500, this one's a bargain..Nice to see the barrel has been floated as this is the first and most important thing to modify on the #1 to help accuracy. Good luck with the sale.
